Bargain range cooker

Ok, so it was expensive, but we just saved ourselves £500 by buying through Comet who are doing an online sale and also via Quidco (cashback). I am so pleased as this gives us £500 that we can spend elsewhere, perhaps replastering a room or some new carpets.

We opted for the Rangemaster range cooker with the induction hob. We don't have gas here and induction hobs are supposed to be amazingly energy efficient. You have similar temperature control as you do with gas, but the heat is directed at the pan more so less energy loss. We are both absolutely sick of our current ceramic hob, which is either on inferno or off! Not so great for making jam, porridge or anything that requires any kind of temperature control.

What do you think?

They do the cooker in a number of different colours, but we opted for black as it's more timeless and matches everything.

Beautiful! I have a range cooker that we salvaged from a "cannabis house" lol! I had always wanted one, but back then they were £1500+. Then one day our friend told us he was helping clear a house out, and if we wanted any bits and bobs we should show up to help. I came away with my cooker, a wardrobe and a set of brand new tea towels ( I guess even drug barons have to do the washing-up sometimes!)

Hi, Sorry I meant to comment ages ago, but have only just got round to doing so!
I have just fitted a new kitchen and have got a new induction hob (the basic one from Ikea) after years of using crappy gas hobs and a ceramic one.
It is brilliant so quick and easy, everytime I use it I gush how much I love it.
Sorry I just had to say so. I dont get out much! x

It's lovely and very similar to ours, except we have a gas hob and main oven.
We've been very pleased with the range although the grill can be a bit awkward at times as it's hard to have the grill door down and then open the oven door.
Enjoy your lovely range. :)
