Pretty pics

Despite the cuffufle with my keys, I did manage to get a few bits of 'crafting' done. I'm really into bright colours at the moment so I painted a few things:

This antique frame, I love the bright pink!

I also painted this frame in the bright green:

I painted this clock too, although I wish I'd bothered to check if it worked first! I'll have to think of what else I can do with it. Any ideas?

My eiderdown turned up and looks even more stunning than in the ebay pics. It's lovely and in excellent condition.

That eiderdown looks like it's never been used! Love the bright colours, my fave is the green on the frame but they're all great. I think the clock looks good even if it doesn't work.

How strange is that, I was planning on painting some frames tonight. I WAS doing them in cream, now i'm thinking I love the pink.
Your eiderdown really is lovely!
Take care

You might just start a collection of old clocks. They look quite lovely sitting together as a little vignette on a shelf or table.

Wow! Love the colours and that eiderdown looks so comfy :D

If the clock doesn't work, you can always take the moving parts out and turn it into some kind of bird house?

Love the pink frame Sian! And I have serious eiderdown envy! I have an old clock which I really liked the shape of when I bought it, but it eventually stopped at quarter past three one day, and it's been that way ever since - I decided I quite liked that time of day (time for a cuppa, etc) so I left it that way!!

You've been busy! They look terrific.

I have been painting this weekend too, the sun is very helpful. I painted a small pink frame is almost the same colour I'd say.

I love the pink frame!!

Thanks for leaving a comment on my veggie post. I am not completley vegan, yet. I don't eat fish or eggs and very little dairy.
I think if we can all just do a little bit it helps. x

LOVE the eiderdown, it's so cheery!!

I'd love to paint a few of my frames as well, did you find you had to sand first? Or just paint?

ooo I do love the pictures of your house!
I think you should be in a magazine like homes and gardens...or country living!

PS Started to paint Rosie Kitten today!

I'm not sure the clock has to work, does it? It does look lovely. I suppose the problem is going to be that people will expect it to work, and get confused. Anyway, all the colours are great.

The eiderdown is fab, well done you! As for the clock, I would take out the workings and put a piece of embroidery in there or maybe a photograph. I once had a gold watch that wasn't working and I couldn't afford to have repaired, so I put a piece of embroidery in it and made a bracelet, it is much admired when I wear it and I have a hard time convincing people that I actually did the work myself. Have a great week. Dev X

Your clock doesn't have to work as long as it looks good! I've got several non-working clocks & others that I forget to wind up, but they look nice (and don't tick!)
