I'd like to take you on a mini tour...

As you can imagine from my last post, I am exhausted! My alarm didn't go off on Tuesday (power cut in the night, you couldn't make it up could you?) so I had to rush around, pick my colleague up from the station and then try and work out where we were going! Then on Thursday I popped along to Aikido - I had forgotten just how daunting and slightly intimidating martial arts can be! I got there and then the chap was quite stern, not nasty just quite serious. You have to be fairly comfortable and confident being around people you don't know for Aikido, lots of grabbing hands/arms, sitting face to face with random people I also had to interview each and every one of the students. Having said all that, I would really like to do it and shall be going again. I'd love to get through the grades and maybe one day be a black belt! :-)

Anyway, today I have been tidying and scrubbing the house - it has been a tip this week simply because I haven't been here to tidy it! I thought I'd invite you to come in and have a look around. :-)
[the sun streaming in the sitting room]

[I love having fresh flowers in most rooms][my floral picture wall, it's not quite as good as Posy's wall but I'm working on it]

[walk through into the dining room]

[you can just spy the utility room on the right, more on that side of the house next week!]

I hope you have enjoyed the mini tour. I'll be doing some crafting tomorrow for Mother's day and various birthdays coming up so I shall post some pictures tomorrow. Have a good evening!

Your house is beautiful! It's just how I wish mine is, but isn't. I think your dresser is fab and that you have a lot of pictures and things. I don't have the confidence to hang a lot of things but I'm getting better. The tin trunk in your living room is GORGEOUS!

Thanks Sian, I'm relieved that it's not just me that feels that way! If I had lots of spare money it might be different but for now I'll enjoy getting a bargain on ebay or looking for something a bit different (and a lot cheaper!). I think the things you make are fab and v good value :)

Ooh you lucky thing having another one waiting for you! I've got one in the hallway and I really like it but it's not a pretty colour like yours. Nice to imagine what a history they might have had though.

Anyway I had better get to bed!

Gorgeous Sian, your home is so pretty :)

Wondered if you would recommend the loose Ikea floraly covers you have, we have the same couches and would love the Byvik covers, and wondered if you were happy with them

I did enjoy that little tour.
Now a utility room would be very handy here, sadly I cannot have one. Somewhere to put all that washing!
Your home is lovely Sian.

Thank you :)

Yes it is the redeby light beige that we have now on a three seater and a two seater, though seems to need washing often and thought it nice to have a spare cover and think the floraly design is so pretty
