Here's what I've been up to...

I've been extremely busy lately so haven't been able to post as much. I went for run tonight, tomorrow I have a course up in Uxbridge, Wednesday I have spin class, Thursday I have Aikido/Iaido oh and Friday is 'Lost' night, then on Saturday I have my acting course, and Sunday, oooh, I can sleep! :-)

I had a go at making cup candles on Sunday and I'm so pleased with them. I'll be selling some in my shop at some stage, but wanted to run them by you. The cup in the front was something Debbie sent me so I'll be keeping that one for myself! :-)

I also wanted to show you the vegetable garden, Tim and his brother have worked so hard! It's going to be terraced at some stage with railway sleepers because it's quite steep and the neighbours are going to put a fence at the bottom.

I've just ordered these Amy Butler 5" squares on ebay. I thought I'd have another go at quilting a nice bright throw or some quilted cushions.

I love the candle tea cups, they look great!
Good luck with the veggie garden. Rich grows his own veg, he's very lucky that his Grandparents have an acre of land so he grows them there.
Have a good week.

Beautiful cups! And the garden is looking great. What a lot of work that took to clear out, I'm sure. Pretty fabric too :)

What a huge change in the garden! You can see what a lot of work has gone into it, I hope the veggies grow well for you.

The cups are lovely, I really like that idea. I used to make candles when I was at school, it was fun but my Mum was not happy about me using her pans to melt the wax!!!

Good luck with the patchwork/quilting.

Hi Sian,
I've been collecting tea cups to make some candles too as I saw them in a shop ages ago and they were sooooo expensive (like £3o)! I might call on your expertise when I have enough to make up, if you don't mind. The garden is looking great, I can only think there must be some bad backs round your place!

The veg garden looks great and when you eat all those tasty, homegrown goodies, all the hard work will have been worth it. Have been looking into crochet courses and have a found a days tuition for £25. She does it on a one to one basis or small groups, in her home for £25. I think that is quite good and am trying to talk my friend into going with me. Watch this space. Dev X

What busy peoples you is being!
Those fabrics are pretty-pretty - do you have her book? I can't make up my mind and the library don't have it stocked.
Apparently, the Tilda lady is just bringing out some fabrics based on her designs and I'm getting rather excited about that ...

I can't keep up with you, you're so busy! I think the tea cups are so pretty... it's something I've wanted to try for a while. Wow to the vegetable garden - it's looking good. I posted today about a patchwork I'm just starting, so I'll be fascinated to see what you do with your pretty squares. xxx

I may do a patchwork course one day - but not until I've first done a crochet course! LOL, too many things to tempt me!
Thanks for your comment. The patchwork is progressing, and I'm really pleased with it. Want to do it with Cath Kidston fabrics next! x

Now now yours looks brilliant and what gave me the inspiration to do mine :)

Thanks for saying you like it and for encouraging me to get my pinking shears, don't know how I have lasted so long without them
